EcoRise was founded by Cynthia Schlegel and Michael Schlegel to make a difference in New York City through inventive, highly designed, sustainable real estate development. They have teamed their critical management skills in marketing, finance and operations with top architectural design and construction to help make New York City a better place to work and live.

The EcoRise mission is forward looking, emphasizing not only environmentally friendly, green development but also function and beauty. This translates into utilizing the latest technology and design to obtain significant air and light, blurring of indoor/out door space and use of greenery as well as adaptive reuse of materials, selection of low-impact and non-toxic finishes and energy efficiency.

EcoRise has focused on Williamsburg, Brooklyn, developing:

• 550 Grand Street, 7500 SF, seven-unit building, which is fully occupied
• 161 Roebling, a 7500 SF, seven-unit building, which is currently under construction.

Prior to forming EcoRise, Cynthia and Michael Schlegel developed St. John's Heights--a 17,000 SF, fifteen-unit building in the Prospect Heights section of Brooklyn-- which is fully occupied.
